That app won’t save you

January 11, 2019

Another day, another app

That app wants you to believe it will save you.

Some Silicon Valley company with VC cash has hired the best marketers money can buy to make you believe it will.

But it won’t.

They want you to believe it will solve the fact you can’t focus anymore.

It won’t.

They want you to believe it will find you love.

It won’t.

They want you to believe it will fix your finances.

It won’t.

They want you to believe it will make you more productive.

It won’t.

They want you to believe it will make you informed.

It won’t.

They want you to believe it will deepen your friendships.

It won’t.

In the end the gadget is just a gadget and you are still you.

They’re just tools, that’s all they are. If there’s something missing deep inside you, it still won’t be there after you download the next app.

None of them can solve your problems. They can’t cure you.

Only you can cure yourself.
